Policy

Arrival to Appointment

Clients should arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment to allow time to fill out necessary client forms and complete a short intake interview with the massage therapist.

Cancellation and Fees

Please provide at least 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule a treatment. A late cancelation or missed appointment may be charged the full amount.

Late Arrivals

Clients who arrive late to scheduled treatments will not be guaranteed the original full treatment time. Full fees will be charged for the original treatment length.

Client Comfort and Privacy

Controlled and modest draping will always be used for any part of the body not being massaged. Clients are encouraged to undress to the level of their comfort. If a client prefers to remain fully or partially clothed, the therapist will adjust the plan of treatment to meet those conditions.

The client is welcome to ask for adjustments regarding the room temperature, style or volume of music, and presence or type of therapeutic scent being used.

During treatment, the client may request changes in pressure, ask for more focus in a specific area, and/or decline any type of technique. The client has the right to stop the treatment at any time.

Professional Boundaries

Under NO circumstances will comments or actions of a sexual nature ever be allowed or considered appropriate during the treatment. In the case of sexual requests or actions from a client, the treatment will be ended and the client will not be re-booked. Proper authorities will be notified if necessary.

Effective draping techniques will always be maintained by the therapist to protect the privacy of the client. Only areas being treated will be undraped. The therapist will inform the client of the plan of treatment and gain permission to treat any potentially sensitive or vulnerable areas. Breast tissue and genitalia will never be included in a massage.

Payment Policy

Payment is due in full at the end of the treatment via cash, check, or card. If a check bounces, an additional fee of $40 may be charged to your account.

Medical Conditions

It is the client’s responsibility to keep the therapist informed of any prior or current pertinent medical conditions or treatments they are undergoing. In some cases, including those undergoing chemo and radiation treatments, written permission for treatment may be required from another medical provider.

Scope of Practice

It is within the scope of a massage therapist’s practice to apply massage and specific additional techniques. Massage therapists are not licensed to provide medical diagnoses or act as a healthcare provider in the place of a medical doctor. Clients should check in with their primary health care providers to receive appropriate treatment for medical conditions.
